nope. i am not moving to oakland i am just staying with friends. but this is the loft that i have called home. it is full of art and love and light, all the things i hoped to find in abundance in california.

So, i ended up at a few more places and survey says i will be friends with the boys and live with the girls. uh huh. this means richmond district so i can walk to downtown and the ocean, pretty close to the marin commute. i will be in oakland, then santa rosa and back to san francisco on the 1st of july.

take me out to the opera

when i first rolled into sf i saw banners for the opera simulcast at the baseball park, and thank goodness a new friend invited me at the last minute, otherwise i would have missed it, my brain is almost too full these days. well, it was a lot of fun and i hope this was only the first of many evenings relaxing on the grass with friends and entertainment. Next, movies at the park.

oh my goodness, well i spent the early part of the day on task. with the rest of the day left for play i tagged along with a friends last minute excursion to palo alto where i found this incredible space. that's it as if i wasn't thinking about property in calif, planning a cob house, and so on most of you have heard all of this before. well, now the desire for a little abode nestled in the woods or perched on a little green rolling hillside is almost to much to contain after this little glimpse of deliciousness! 

summer evenings

a long day ended with Gordo's tacos for dinner, a glass of wine and new and old friends with an amazing rooftop sunset view. 

still searching for a place...

growing more anxious everyday. it is ironic that i want to rush into getting settled in so i can go off and travel. portugal, spain, and france+. soon enough. i am also becoming quite the connoisseur of whack rental viewing experiences.

these are all specimens from my block! from the top is a lemon tree (with fruit) framed by a bird of paradise plant. then succulents bigger than basketballs and a jasmine hedge the aromma is intoxicatingly sweet. yum
