



luis is from peru and decided it was high time for me to learn about his native cuisine.
i had a drink that looked like concord grape juice but it was made of purple corn with nutmeg maybe. oh mmm and donuts i had a craving for donuts and he came through with the little tasty morsels above made with sweet potato and a honey glaze and ice cream from a peruvian fruit. the table behind us was full of brazilian men speaking in portuguese, i love the language and thank goodness i still remember some of it. after a stop at dolores park to check on the big brass orchestra it was back home to read and rest.
