stopped off at a lemonade stand on the way to the bluegrass festival at golden gate park. bonnie 'prince' billy performed early. i managed to sneak into the vip section for an up close serenade with iron and wine. he lead us in a few sing along/ clap along songs. i could listen to him for hours. his voice was soothing, mixed with the heady aroma of eucalyptus and warmth form the sun this was one of my favorite summer performances.
loved the disco kitty hat and the sea of plaid shirts and cowboy hats. next time i will sport my john deer hat for my step dad.
met up with some friends to see ricky scaggs & kentucky thunder followed by the one and only emmylou harris.
