what a week! my team won the election and while my pdx plans have been put on hold i think i need the rest and i have things to tend to in the city. i did get to see Starfucker last night at the eagle tavern and they are Super RAD and i heart them but... they made me miss pdx big time. i saw a lot of familiar stumptown faces some live here and some still there.
so the eagle tavern is a dude bar most of the time, today it was a mix of tom of finland meets stumptown plaid shirt bike boys. the energy was high and it felt soooo good to get out and shake it. i was out late and up even later finishing up my lessons for the impending review for california teaching credential. oh but i made it i still managed to wake up teach as if i hadn't been out most of the night, it was kinda like playing hookie and it was nice.
i apologize for the photo quality but i refuse to be the chode that is snapping away blinding everyone with the camera flash. i made one exception and had to get a few pics of the old oj poster behind bars. oj attended the high school where i am currently teaching. not an oj fan but i love the caption and i see tourists wagging their fingers at the school as the tour guide tells them about hte famous alumni.
