sauvie island is beautiful! after our last trip in the hot sun coming back with strawberries we seized the balmy day and went for the longer shelf life berries to last more than a few days. i got to use my new favorite avocado green enamel bowl, picked up at the laurelhurst neighborhood yard sale. picked over 17lbs of berries and talked about having little summer cabins in the michigan wilderness.
