my dad rode his harley halfway across the country for a visit and we i tried to show him as much of sf as possible in a few short days. a trip to alcatraz was the only super touristy visit on our list but it was awesome. we found ourselves in the middle of a sailboat regatta on the return boat ride and i am now convinced that i should be aboard more often. the view of the city and marin is amazing from alcatraz!
