no i didn't have goat soup, they were closed for the evening. but i love the sign. spent the evening at zeitgeist. morgan just moved back to the us after living in germany for 4 years. she said zeit is time and geist is ghost in german, and the bar made her feel like she was in germany. it made me feel like i was in portland or back in olympia at a house party 10 years ago with crusty punks and hard core music. zeitgeist is rad and it while we all felt like we were someplace familiar it really didn't feel like we were in the middle of the city. i love the line of port o potties on the patio (eek) and i was transfixed by the billboard on the side of the building of ariel from the disney film, the little mermaid. this was such an odd placement and stark contrast to loud music, bikes, dark clothes and leather jackets that filled the area below. gotta love the city.
