after the marathon i made cinnamon rolls for the roomies and headed out for a bike ride meandering down, around and through golden gate park. and then off to the stern grove music festival which is actually the longest running admission-free outdoor music festival in the country. and the bike coalition provides free bike valet. it was a beautiful setting and after talking to friends about on friday i was super excited to go. it smelled of eucalyptus (a favorite scent) and pot, go figure at an outdoor event in california. si*se and bajofondo performed, a mix of argentine and uruguayan artists. i recognized a lot of the music as i have a tendency to pick a foreign film over a non and both artists are featured on a lot of soundtracks. bajofondo with the motorcycle diaries.
after dancing in the woods it was time to head home as a cold is coming on and my body needs rest. i snapped this shot as i crested to hill with the electric lines staggered down the hill and golden gate park in the distance and my home on the other side. oh yeah a nice mellow day.
