yes, last night was a very busy time indeed but i still wanted more. maybe a little quieter but not too quite. well, be careful what you wish for. we thought oh the irish pub will suit us just fine. uh oh, we walked in and i felt like i was walking into an irish spring break party mixed with an after soccer game party of tall blond boys, almost too much but not quite. the music was load, so load that you had to yell to hear the person next to you and that is not how the place is through the week, but this was saturday night love. the bar was packed so morgan decided to get to pints of cider for me so we wouldn't have to hassle with another drink order for awhile. and that is how the night began, with two pints in hand. well, dancing with two drinks in hand is no easy feat so it was time to take care of one pronto.
while i was having fun, fun, fun it was yet another leo friends birthday (adam), so we met him at ye old dive bar. someone gave me the fabulous yellow sunglasses that reminded me of elton john. after a few birthday shots i sucked down some whip cream and some of us piled into a cab and headed downtown to meet up with a few friends at kells. our cab driver god bless him, mr. lee, oh he was so sweet and tolerant. i absolutely love riding in a cab, not completely sure why, i love being a passenger. after our little trek i had to pee and what says living in the city more than peeing in an ally. well, we made it to kells and that place was filthy, there was a man peeing in the hallway at the top of the stairs, yuck at least go to the ally.
alex wanted a relaxing evening at home and after 130 i decided that i was done for the night too, but not before that. so we left dirty kells and headed off to get chinese food at a packed little restaurant at 2'ish in the morning. by then alex made it downtown in time to rescue me. he called when was close, so i said goodnight to all and i ran out of the restaurant and the city had taken on an old black and white movie scene in the train station, with the fog creeping in and busy sidewalks when you just don't know how long it will take to find someone but i found his little plaid shirt across the street amidst the crowd in about a minute, yes!
