still excited about my lucky streak, i think it's still going! i am noticing mosaics everywhere now they make me smile, especially this one that i spotted on my way home. driving through downtown i spotted the happy chickens that may have inspired more summer art. then off to lake merritt in oakland to picnic with friends. we had amazing wedding cookies from arizmendi(emeryville), salads, and jello, awe yeah. then a walk and some wine and a walk to get more cookies (cornmeal and lime shortbread!), at arizmendi in oakland. here we found the most decadent macaroons that where almost like baklava with warm honey dripping from the center, yum! we will return and i will try to remember to take pics. we ended the day with chilled white wine, macaroons and plans to do this again next week but in berkeley and with a little swimming.
